  • Garnish: 2 tbsp chopped roasted peanuts, 2 tbsp sliced scallions, fresh cilantro leaves, lime wedges

Instructions

1. Press the tofu
Wrap tofu in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top. Let it press for 10–15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
2. Cut tofu
Cut the pressed tofu into 2 cm (3/4 inch) cubes.
3. Season
In a bowl, toss tofu cubes with soy sauce and oil. Sprinkle with cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
4. Preheat
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 2 minutes.
5. Air Fry
Arrange tofu cubes in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until tofu is crispy and golden.
6. Make the sauce
